Position: Engineer - CNC Operations

Our client, a leading manufacturing company with decades of industry expertise, is seeking a skilled Engineer specializing in CNC Operations & Application to join their team in Bhilai. The ideal candidate will bring robust knowledge of CNC programming and hands-on experience with diverse CNC machines used across industries like railways, steel plant, power plant and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and run CNC programs for various machines, including Horizontal Boring Machines, PLANO Millers, VMC, and VTL etc utilizing controllers such as Siemens and Fanuc
• Fix problems with CNC machines, tools, or programs
• Work with the design team to improve CNC programs for locomotive crankcases, metro frames, power plant equipment, and heavy machinery parts
• Teach and guide machine operators on CNC programming and machining
• Keep CNC machines running efficiently, reduce delays and improve productivity
• Learn about new CNC technologies and suggest upgrades
• Ensure projects finish on time with good quality
• Maintain and update CNC program records correctly
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all operations and procedures

Qualifications:

• Diploma or B.E. or B.Tech. in Mechanical or related field
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in CNC programming and operations, with hands-on expertise in industries such as railways, power plants and heavy machinery manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code and CNC machine operations
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, thread plug and gauges
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to optimize machining processes for precision and efficiency
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to training and mentoring team members
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
• Installing, training and troubleshooting as required
