Job Overview:
Join a legacy engineering and manufacturing group with over 50 years of excellence. As a CNC Shift Supervisor, you'll lead precision machining operations for mission-critical components used in steel plants, power stations, cement facilities, and railway infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program CNC machines including HBM, VMC, VTL, and Plano Miller using Siemens and Fanuc controllers
- Troubleshoot tooling, programming, and machine issues to ensure uninterrupted production
- Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize machining of components such as locomotive crankcases and metro frames
- Mentor CNC operators and promote best practices in programming, safety, and documentation
- Enhance machine utilization and reduce cycle times through process improvements
- Maintain detailed records of CNC programs, machining parameters, and shift performance
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in steel, power, mining, or railway sectors
- Proficiency in G-code, M-code, CAD/CAM software, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Proven leadership and communication abilities
Experience in installation, operator training, and technical support is a plus
