Job Overview
Join a legacy engineering and manufacturing group with over 50 years of excellence. As a CNC Shift Supervisor, you'll lead precision machining operations for mission-critical components used in steel plants, power stations, cement facilities and railway infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program CNC machines (HBM, VMC, VTL, Plano Miller) using Siemens and Fanuc controllers
- Troubleshoot tooling, programming and machine issues to ensure uninterrupted production
- Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize machining of components like locomotive crankcases and metro frames
- Mentor CNC operators and promote best practices in programming and safety
- Enhance machine utilization and reduce cycle times through process improvements
- Maintain detailed documentation of CNC programs and machining parameters
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- 5 - 6 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in steel, power, mining or railways
- Proficiency in G-code, M-code, CAD/CAM software and precision measuring tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Leadership and communication abilities
- Experience in installation, operator training and technical support is a plus
