Job Details

The CIO Division is seeking experienced and motivated User Researchers / Interaction Designers to support ongoing major projects. These roles will focus on driving a human-centric approach to service delivery, delivering intuitive experiences across multiple public-facing and internal digital initiatives.

The successful candidates will work in agile, multi-disciplinary teams and be responsible for conducting research, designing user journeys and prototypes, and informing service improvements.

Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience and understanding of UX research methodologies and end to end UX/UI process.

2. Demonstrated experience creating high-quality, compelling design concepts and artefacts including prototypes, archetypes, journey maps etc.

3. Effective communication skills with the ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders, and clearly articulate design decisions through a well-conceived rationale.

4. Experience collaborating with others to translate findings from usability testing into actionable improvements to a user interface.

5. Knowledge of Accessibility requirements - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Inclusive design process.

Desirable Criteria

1. Experience working within an agile IT delivery team.

2. Tertiary Qualifications in a design related discipline (Human Factors, Communication/Graphic Design, Systems Design, Psychology, Computer Interaction, Web development etc.)
