Job Details

Business Analysts will work in the Digital Strategy and Assurance Branch (DSAB), translating business requirements into technical specifications aligned with the departments data architecture, systems, and aged care operating models. The role supports the departments aged care reform and digital transformation agenda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with diverse business stakeholders to identify data needs

  • Develop detailed data artefacts, including diagrams, flows, and integration specifications

  • Engage architects, developers, and analysts to document technical requirements

  • Document interoperability and linked data approaches

  • Maintain structured documentation using endorsed tools

  • Develop business ideas into ICT change requests

  • Elaborate requirements into high-level user stories and implications

  • Represent business needs within ICT project teams

  • Facilitate workshops to unpack and refine requirements

  • Respond to clarification requests on business needs

  • Conduct business impact assessments

  • Represent non-functional requirements including privacy and consent

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Translate raw data into actionable insights

  • Participate in design workshops with the Aged Care Business Design Centre
