The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and are seeking a cyber security architect to assist the cyber security team provide security architectural design review services to various stakeholders, including program and project team members, enterprise and solution architects and, the IT Security Advisor (ITSA).
This is a position which requires at least 5 years of relevant and current security architecture experience in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Superior interpersonal skills are essential to ensure effective and considered communication and collaboration with stakeholders, both non-technical and technical.
To ensure the security architecture design review requirements are met, as per the departments Authority to Operate Framework (AtOF), the security architect will be responsible for providing considered advice in line with the departments processes and policies and security frameworks including the Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP).

Essential Criteria
1. Extensive knowledge of Australian Government Policies and frameworks relating to Government Services
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and demonstrate system features to stakeholders, team members and Executive
Facilitate and negotiate discussions to an agreeable decision
2. 5 years experience as a security architect/security specialist
Extensive experience in ISM, PSPF and the IRAP process
Experience working in large/complex ICT environments with a focus on Microsoft technologies
Demonstrated security relevant experience in Azure cloud services and Office-365 including Azure-AD, OMS, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
3. The successful candidate will have the IT skills and relevant work experience, in conjunction with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement.
Ability to work as part of an agile team and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders is also a requirement.
