Job Details
The Department of Industry, Science and Resources supports the Australian Government's economic agenda through innovation, science and technology, and industry development. The CIO Division provides enabling services and operations delivery and is seeking experienced Project Managers to support major ICT projects across the Division.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, cross-agency collaborations and service providers

Research, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project or program initiatives

Negotiate and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination and collaboration
-
Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges
-
Provide management, coordination, governance and assurance of complex projects
-
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
-
Represent the team in governance meetings and provide clear reporting on project status and risks
-
Oversee project resources to ensure high performance and delivery outcomes
-
Use project management tools across risk, quality, financials, procurement, and delivery governance

Essential criteria

A minimum of 5 years' experience leading complex ICT projects and programs in Federal Government.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, cross-agency collaborations and service providers.

Experience with/ and application of project management frameworks and methodologies including waterfall and Hybrid Agile.

Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including Departmental Executive.
