Purpose:
- Managing Windows Servers
- User and Access Management
- System Security and Compliance
Troubleshooting and Support
Backup and Disaster Recovery
Key Accountabilities:
- Windows Server Administration Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Ensuring servers run efficiently with minimal downtime.
User Account & Access Management Managing user accounts, permissions, and security policies in Active Directory. Implementing role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure proper access levels for users and groups. - System Security & Compliance Applying security patches, updates, and antivirus protections to prevent vulnerabilities. Enforcing security policies, auditing system logs, and ensuring compliance with IT security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Diagnosing and resolving system failures, software issues, and network connectivity problems. Providing Level 2/3 support for escalated Windows-related incidents.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery Managing system backups, replication, and recovery plans using tools. Ensuring business continuity in case of hardware failure or cyber incidents.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization Continuously monitoring system health, resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage), and performance bottlenecks using tools like Windows Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, and third-party monitoring solutions.
- Software Deployment & Patch Management Deploying applications, updates, and patches across Windows systems using tools like WSUS, SCCM, or Intune to ensure systems remain up to date and secure.
- Virtualization & Cloud Management Administering virtualized environments using Hyper-V or VMware, as well as managing cloud-based Windows infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments.
- Automation & Scripting Utilizing PowerShell scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks, such as user provisioning, system updates, and log analysis.
- Documentation & Reporting Maintaining accurate documentation for configurations, system changes, troubleshooting procedures, and security policies. Providing reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.
Educational Level
- Bachelors degree Information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Language Skills Very good in English
- Work Experience 5-7 Years 7-10 Years
- Technical Knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and
- exchange.
- Management and leadership skills.
Experience with Database management
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
