Job purpose

The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects of construction projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, and solving complex problems that arise on-site. The Senior Site Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Project Oversight:

Assume responsibility for the overall management and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.

Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management, to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of construction excellence.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, such as clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities, to address project requirements and regulatory compliance.

Resource Management:

• Optimize resource utilization, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles impacting project timelines and deliverables.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Champion a culture of safety and compliance by enforcing adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
• Proven experience of 7-10 years in the construction and finishing industry, with a minimum of 5 years focus on renovation, FF&E refurbishment, finishing, and fit-out of interiors in mega hospitality and commercial projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with hospitality specifications, standards, and industry best practices is highly desired.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Willingness to travel and work at various project sites as required.
• Preferred Skills: o Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is advantageous.
• Experience with large-scale or complex construction projects.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building standards.

• Occasional travel may be required depending on project locations.
