A leading architectural consulting office in Cairo, Egypt, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical MEP Head of Department to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

As the Mechanical MEP Head of Department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the mechanical engineering team in the design and construction of various projects. You will work closely with other departments and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team in the design and construction of projects.
• Oversee the preparation of mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Collaborate with other departments and project managers to develop project plans and schedules.
• Review and approve project designs and provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and progress of work.
• Manage project budgets and resources to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in mechanical engineering technology.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
•  Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience in the design and construction of various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
