Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Finance Lead to oversee all financial aspects of business in Japan and drive the companys financial strategy and planning. In this position, you will not only be an accomplished accountant and proactive with company finances but will also be commercially aware and provide advice on the best path of growth for our business.
Your duties include establishing targets, developing budgets, and performing financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities. Your ultimate goal will be to guide the company towards profitability and success.
You will :
Develop and execute strategies for fundraising activities, including
Driving the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
Retaining constant awareness of the companys financial position and acting to prevent problems
Oversee all audit and internal control operations
Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
Report to Japan CEO
You need to have:
Experience in fundraising for domestic and international startups
Business Level proficiency in English and Japanese
Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
An analytical mind with a strategic ability
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
