Abou The Role

The Tech Director (TD) is responsible for leading the technical strategy, execution, and support for a specific set of clients within a business unit. The TD will report directly to the Tech Officer and work closely with technical leaders, internal teams, and clients to drive technical excellence, operational efficiency, and sustained growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions aligned with quality standards.
  • Coordinate the efficient delivery of technical solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and managing critical escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and optimizing processes.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Develop technical solution proposals for new projects in collaboration with the Tech Officer and Studio leaders.
  • Contribute to the standardization and optimization of technical processes.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated on the latest technological trends and assess their applicability for clients.
  • Propose and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote the adoption of tools, practices, and technologies that foster innovation and growth.

Team Management and Development

  • Mentor and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Identify, along with the Tech Officer, training needs and professional growth opportunities.

Required Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Proven experience in software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices-based architectures.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD strategies, DevOps practices, and related tools.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and scalable solutions.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and propose complex technical solutions.

Leadership and Management Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary and remote technical teams.
  • Strong decision-making skills based on data and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in the professional development of team members.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to effectively engage with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Skill in translating technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.

Required Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in technical roles related to software development, architecture, and continuous improvement.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects in IT environments.
