Job Title: Utilities/Mechanical Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Utilities/Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team on a contract basis. This role will focus on supporting capital projects, operations, and engineering functions within designated production areas.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to project completion, manage your time effectively, and develop plans for short-term work activities.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team Leader to ensure safety and quality across operations and engineering activities.
- Develop technical and operational standards and provide technical support to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- Build productive relationships with process equipment and technology suppliers.
- Establish robust processes and systems to maximize equipment uptime and manufacturing output.
- Lead team meetings, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support operational campaign startups.
- Continuously optimize plant reliability and minimize lifecycle costs.
- Conduct RFT Method 1 investigations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cGMP industrial settings.
- Proven leadership and teamwork abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, customer focus, and experience managing budgets and cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have:
- Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Familiarity with site operations.
- On-site support experience.
