Job Title: CQV Turnover and Set to Work (STW) I&C Technician

Location: Holly Springs, NC
Type: Long-Term Contract

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled CQV Turnover and Set to Work (STW) I&C Technician to prepare Direct Impact Systems for Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) post-Mechanical Completion. This role involves ensuring safe energization and readiness of systems while adhering to safety standards and project protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with STW teams to execute protocols for safe system energization and C&Q readiness.
  • Prepare resources in alignment with project schedules and requirements.
  • Execute detailed STW protocols, including:

    • Identifying pre-requisites.
    • Performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and energization using master drawings.
    • Supporting software downloads and instrument commissioning.
    • Safely energizing power and utility systems.
    • Performing Loop Checks and calibrations as needed.
    • Conducting motor rotation checks and pre-commissioning functional checks.
  • Participate in system walkdowns to ensure STW readiness.
  • Adhere to project safety standards and maintain the highest level of safety practices.
  • Coordinate STW activities with CQV Area/System leads to avoid disruptions to C&Q.
  • Document STW activities according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Identify, document, and facilitate the closure of punchlist items.

Secondary Tasks:

  • Perform repairs on defective system components.
  • Operate scissor lifts and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Support additional project CQV activities as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial or mechanical experience.
  • Proven expertise in working with and energizing live utility systems.
  • Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems and liaising with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with complex projects and operating facilities.
  • Ability to independently walk systems using approved drawings.
  • Certifications: OSHA and Scissor Lift.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • The team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
