Duties and Responsibilities

Train, guide, and mentor Team Leads

Monitor and improve inspection metric reports

Monitor team performance and provide feedback

Arrange tasks and personnel to meet area needs and prevent downtime

Review and address Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMR) for inspection actions

Review and address Internal Issues (INT) and Audit Findings (Internal [IQA] and External) related

to inspection area

Generate Temporary Deviation Request (TDR) for inspection processes as needed

Create and edit inspection routers and templates

Perform basic statistical studies as needed

Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications

Coordinate and collect gauges due for calibration for inspection areas

Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying issue

Coordinate and train new hires

Manage workflow, priorities, and projects in inspection areas

Communicate inspection output and process with customers as needed

Monitor and maintain Inspection Database

Monitor and maintain Dock to Stock program (D2S)

Monitor 7S activities and implement process improvements in inspection areas

Lead Team meetings and partake in departmental/company meetings as needed

Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations

Complete any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities

Leads a team of Team Leads in the Quality Inspection Labs.

Education and Experience

5+ years experience in mechanical inspection and manufacturing environment

Experience with quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface,

comparator, roughness gauges, etc.

Experience with advanced quality control equipment such as: Hommel, Keyence, Spring tester,

Hardness tester, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical comparator or other complex

inspection systems preferred

Proficient with MS Windows and Office with emphasis on Excel (Word, PowerPoint, and

Outlook)

Experience with GD&T technical specifications, Work Instructions, and drawings

Ability to train proficiently against processes
