About the job Precision Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift
Specific work activities will include:
· Component installation
· Building and assembly of sub-components
· Installation of software
· Testing tuning and troubleshooting
· Installation of slides, spindles, and alignment of slides
· Tracing and measuring of mechanical components
Skills:
· Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of technical precision machines and associated systems.
· Must be able to read and understand technical documentation and prints / specifications and use sophisticated measuring instruments and gauges.
· Knowledge of CNC controls, and some basic programming.
· Operate various machine and hand tools, including micrometers, verniers, soldering and wire crimping tools.
· Skilled using material handling equipment.
· Ability to work independently and meet production schedules.
· Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to include Engineering and Applications on standard and special system builds.
· Stand for extended periods of time, reach with both hands and bend as necessary, frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
Additional Duties:
· On occasion will require the participation in training of customers, customer buy-offs, training of field and other personnel.
· Occasional field work to include installations, and service work.
