Job Summary

The Senior Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of electrical work across assigned locations or regions. This role supports production and manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing industrial electrical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial and mining equipment

  • Install, adjust, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, gauges, and instruments

  • Troubleshoot and evaluate electrical issues; coordinate necessary repairs and modifications

  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet manufacturer standards

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas (good housekeeping practices)

  • Adhere to all OSHA and MSHA safety regulations

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on plant grounds

  • Meet or exceed established safety standards

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in aggregate, cement, or heavy industrial operations (preferred)

  • Experience with power distribution systems

  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and digital drives

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate degree in electrical maintenance or equivalent technical training preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including motor control circuits and relay logic

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, reports, and written instructions

  • Ability to read and create mechanical, electrical, and structural blueprints and drawings

  • Solid math and mechanical aptitude

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

  • Regular exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while on-site

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, and climbing

  • Heavy work classification:

    • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally

    • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects

  • Regular communication (talking and hearing) required to safely coordinate around heavy equipment and personnel
