We're looking for an IT Operations Engineer – Intermediate to join a CloudOps team and help keep the technology environment reliable, secure, and ready for day-to-day business operations.

This is a hands-on role covering a mix of AWS infrastructure, systems administration, automation, monitoring, security, and workplace technology. You'll investigate technical issues, support infrastructure changes, improve operational processes, and work with different technical teams to keep services running smoothly.

The role is ideal for someone who has built a solid foundation in IT operations and is ready to take on greater ownership across cloud and infrastructure environments.

What You'll Do

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

  • Administer and support infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Work with AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, networking, and storage.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure changes.
  • Help maintain secure and resilient systems in line with operational and compliance requirements.
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities, including testing recovery processes.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and performance using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Datadog.

Technical Operations & Incident Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure, application, connectivity, and system issues.
  • Take ownership of incidents from initial investigation through resolution or appropriate escalation.
  • Participate in incident response and root-cause investigations.
  • Assess and test proposed changes before they are introduced into production.
  • Work with Engineering, Product, Support, and other technical teams to resolve issues affecting services and users.
  • Provide operational support for cloud-based applications when required.

Automation & Engineering Practices

  • Use Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code technologies to support infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Work with CI/CD processes and tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Octopus, or equivalent platforms.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, particularly using Bash, to reduce repetitive manual work.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, security, and maintainability through automation and better tooling.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.

Workplace & End-User Technology

  • Support the administration and lifecycle management of employee devices.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, enrollment, application deployment, patching, compliance, and access using Microsoft Intune or similar platforms.
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 and identity-related services.
  • Assist with IT asset and equipment management.
  • Help employees resolve technology issues and ensure they have the appropriate access and tools to perform their roles.

Team Contribution

  • Work closely with Cloud Engineering, Product, Support, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance to Associate-level engineers.
  • Contribute ideas during technical discussions and help improve team processes.
  • Communicate clearly during incidents, changes, and other time-sensitive situations.

What We're Looking For

  • Professional experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, or a related area for over 3 years.
  • Strong fundamentals in operating systems, networking, infrastructure, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience working with AWS in a production or operational environment.
  • Experience with several core AWS services, particularly EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, networking, and storage.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code platform.
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies and deployment processes.
  • Comfortable using Bash or other scripting languages to support automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of cloud security, access management, system reliability, and operational resilience.
  • Experience supporting endpoint management and device lifecycle activities, preferably with Intune or an equivalent platform.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and identity/access management.
  • Experience with backups, disaster recovery, virtualization, or related infrastructure operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical information clearly.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Nice to Have

  • AWS certification such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • Microsoft 365-related certification.
  • Experience with SaaS administration, such as Jira, Atlassian, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting both cloud and traditional on-premises infrastructure.
  • Exposure to automation, configuration management, or infrastructure engineering practices.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior IT or infrastructure professionals.

Working Arrangement

  • Hybrid setup: 1–2 days per week in the office.
  • Working hours: 6:30 AM–3:30 PM Manila time, 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional after-hours work may be required for planned upgrades, maintenance, deployments, incidents, or other business-critical activities.
  • The role may participate in an on-call rotation.
