Position: Growth Categories Manager

Reports To: Director, Sourcing & Product Management

Location: Collierville, TN

We are looking for a driven individual with experience or educational background in areas such as market research, product development, vendor management, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies. The ideal candidate should be capable of developing category strategies using multiple data points and business factors. This role requires someone who can work independently with minimal direction, eager to create new projects and constantly seek out the next opportunity. A strong research and sales profile is essential, along with the ability to build and promote product lines while working collaboratively with leadership and sales teams. The Growth Categories Manager will be responsible for launching and growing strategic product lines, ensuring profitability, and driving the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze, build, and manage assigned categories to maintain and grow sales

- Develop and present business plans for potential new categories

- Analyze, monitor, and take action to improve product costs, ensuring the lowest total cost

- Review pricing data from industry standards, sales trends, and competitors

- Manage market pricing and net/net pricing structures across channels and customers

- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams to meet service commitments

- Develop and manage vendor relationships within defined product/program categories

- Learn current systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement

- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies

- Create training and product knowledge materials for the sales force and customers

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Analytical skills combined with a research and sales-driven mindset

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

- Strong communication skills to translate data into actionable business insights

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the desire to grow professionally

- BS in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field preferred

- Experience in sourcing or product/category management with a history of success is a plus
