Job Description:

The ISP will be responsible for managing a defined list of Wholesale (territory) for the purpose of maximizing sales and margin for that territory; while also prospecting for new accounts to add to that territory.

Objectives:

  • Maximize sales and margin opportunities within ISPs existing account base
  • Make sure accounts are purchasing all Brands of BK Products as well as prospecting for other Mueller divisions; this will entail coordinating with other divisions when needed
  • Secure relationships for the long term so as to make relationships strategic versus transactional where appropriate
  • Expand territory by prospecting for, and adding new accounts

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure existing and future customers understand full range of BK Products offering and capabilities
  • Introduce new products and capabilities as needed
  • Learn contact points for other Mueller divisions when non-BK opportunities arise
  • Manage full range of customer requirements (quotes, order processing, shipment tracking, etc.)
  • Understand customers business, needs and requirements; secure customer profiles, financial information, organizational structure for the purpose of building an account data base for the territory
  • Leverage relationships so as to secure access to parent companies, sister divisions, subcontractors, etc. in order to maximize full extent of customer potential including potential international opportunities
  • Coordinate with other Mueller entities and divisions (Streamline, RPD, FTP, etc) to leverage Muellers and BKs full offering
  • Achieve and exceed defined performance plans
  • The above represents general responsibilities for the position. Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3+ years customer service or sales experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Experienced in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Available for occasional travel
