OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Hatchery Manager at our facility in Cordova, TN. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual with strong management skills. Fluency in Spanish is preferred due to the diverse nature of our workforce.

COMPENSATION:

Competitive salary of $60,000+ based on past experience, plus health coverage for selected individual and dependants. Bonus opportunity based on year-end financials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Hatchery Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the hatchery, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards.

Supervise and train hatchery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are

completed accurately and efficiently.

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on hatchery equipment, utilizing mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.

Monitor hatchery conditions, including temperature, humidity, and ventilation, and implement

adjustments as necessary to optimize hatch rates.

Maintain records related to hatchery operations, including inventory, production data, and employee schedules.

Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and shipping, to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service.

Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Assist in developing and implementing improvement initiatives to enhance hatchery efficiency and productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.

Fluent in Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking employees is preferable, but not required.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
