Key Responsibilities:
- Design structural components for a variety of projects
- Perform structural wood and steel calculations for commercial and residential developments
- Conduct reinforced concrete calculations for building slabs, spread footings, retaining walls, etc.
- Interpret and apply national codes and standards, including IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC
- Stay updated on engineering best practices, processes, and industry standards
- Ensure effective design methods and engineering techniques are utilized
- Resolve project issues and provide technical guidance to colleagues
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- State of Texas Structural Engineer License (Required)
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles and national engineering codes
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency
