Our client, a European Private Bank, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Operations to oversee operational management for the Hong Kong branch. This role will be responsible for IT operations, facilities management, IT security oversight, vendor management, and supporting regional projects impacting the Hong Kong platform.

The successful candidate will work closely with regional stakeholders in Singapore and senior management across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operational management of the Hong Kong office, including IT facilities and infrastructure management.
• Manage and coordinate IT-related functions, including IT security controls, operational risk matters, and onsite management of online client data in collaboration with the regional team based in Singapore.
• Support and drive strategic and regional projects impacting the Hong Kong platform, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
• Act as the key liaison for outsourced vendors and external service providers, overseeing vendor governance, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in operational reviews, IT audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare management reports, presentations, and project materials for senior management and regional stakeholders.
• Support Regional COO initiatives, including process improvement and operational reporting.
• Develop presentation decks and analytical materials using Excel and PowerPoint for management meetings and project discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity within a Private Banking environment.
• Strong background in IT operations, IT audit, operational risk, or infrastructure management within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven experience managing outsourcing vendors and third-party service providers.
• Exposure to strategic or regional projects within a financial institution is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT security, operational controls, and governance frameworks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare presentations and materials for senior management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across regional teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
