 Job Description:

Our client is a boutique Private Bank with a strong presence across Asia and is seeking an experienced Wealth Planner to join its Hong Kong branch. Acting as a subject matter expert in Wealth Planning, the successful candidate will support both prospective and existing HNW clients across the region, specifically in the Greater China market.

This individual will lead the Wealth Planning function in Asia and work closely with Relationship Managers to identify business opportunities, acquire new clients, and deepen existing relationships through holistic wealth planning solutions.

Job Description

  • Advise clients on estate and succession planning, trust structures, philanthropy, family governance, and intergenerational wealth transfer solutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of wealth planning solutions in collaboration with external professional advisors, including lawyers, tax consultants, trust companies, fiduciary providers, and insurance specialists.
  • Develop pipeline opportunities and support business development initiatives across the Wealth Planning and Family Office space.
  • Conduct presentations, training sessions, and market updates for bankers and internal stakeholders on wealth planning solutions and industry developments.
  • Partner closely with Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions to HNW/UHNW clients across Asia.
  • Travel regularly within the Greater China region for business development activities and client meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Wealth Planning, Family Office, Trust, or related advisory functions within Private Banking or Financial Services.
  • Degree in Law, Tax, Accounting, or other related disciplines. Prior experience within a Big 4 environment would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust structures, philanthropy, insurance solutions, and family office advisory.
  • Good understanding of legal, tax, and regulatory considerations across key markets relevant to wealth structuring.
  • Proven client-facing experience with strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required, as the role will primarily support clients from the Greater China region.
