Executive Officer Type 9 License (Unconditional)
Title: Director or Executive Director

Our client is a fast-growing financial institution with a strong regional presence and an expanding platform. With an established investment team in Singapore, the firm is now looking to strengthen its Hong Kong office by appointing an Executive Officer to lead the Type 9 license application and future product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Responsible Officer for Type 9 (unconditional) activities in Hong Kong.

• Lead the license application process and coordinate closely with SFC and internal stakeholders.

• Manage and execute the full lifecycle of the licensing project.

• Drive the development of the Type 9 platform in Hong Kong, working in tandem with the Singapore team.

• Provide leadership to the local product team; report to the Head of Products (HK) and dotted line to the Executive Office.

• Take a hybrid role covering portfolio management (50%) and sales/relationship management (50%) post-license approval.

• Support business development initiatives and platform establishment in Hong Kong.

Requirements:

• Holder of Type 9 (unconditional) Responsible Officer license in Hong Kong.

• Proven experience in fund management and leading licensing projects.

• Background in private banking or investment product sales preferred (not traditional asset management).

• Solid understanding of Hong Kong's regulatory environment and fund structures.

• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to coordinate with regional teams.

• Trilingual: fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
