Our client is a boutique Private Bank based in Hong Kong, offering a comprehensive range of wealth management and financial services to HNW clients. As part of its expansion within the Private Banking division, the bank is seeking an experienced FX Product Specialist to join its growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and enhancing the bank's FX capabilities. The successful candidate will lead the Private Banking FX Product and Advisory Desk, driving FX profitability, supporting the Structured Products business, and shaping the overall FX product strategy. Acting as the central project lead for all FX-related initiatives, the role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure effective product development, seamless execution, regulatory compliance, and robust risk controls, while delivering innovative FX solutions that meet the evolving needs of private banking clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide FX advisory services to private banking clients, executing trades efficiently and accurately across spot, forward, and options markets.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers (RMs) and Investment Counsellors (ICs) to handle client requests, offer market insights, and develop tailored FX trading and hedging strategies.
• Stay updated on FX market trends, macroeconomic developments, and central bank policies to provide informed advisory and trade execution strategies.
• Generate regular market updates and strategy reports to keep clients and internal stakeholders informed on FX market conditions, trade ideas, and investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance FX product offerings and ensure alignment with client investment objectives and risk management strategies.

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• CFA, CPWP, or relevant FX trading qualifications are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FX advisory, trading, or dealing within the financial industry, preferably in private banking or wealth management.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of FX markets, macroeconomic trends, and risk management principles.
• Proficiency in financial tools and platforms, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and Excel (VBA is a plus).
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin.
