Site Reliability Engineer (Application Manager
JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY
He/she shall be responsible for how code is deployed, configured, and monitored, as well as the availability, latency, change management, emergency response, and capacity management of services in production.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide quality day-to-day production support for OneConnect products (such as eKYC, SLP, Core-banking, etc) for our customers
To manage Production issues by responding in a timely manner in accordance to the Service Level Agreements.
Collaborate closely with other internal technical teams/customers in investigating, testing and implementing application fixes;
Gatekeeper for Change Management through the CI/CD pipeline;
Track incidents and provide regular affected customers to users on request status and progress.
Perform Root Cause Analysis and Regular Reporting to identify areas for review for improvement.
Write scripts and suggest automation to improve efficiency/effectiveness of support team.
Provide on-call/on-site support on a rota basis and afterhours/weekend support as needed, covering support and change deployment

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- At least 5 years of application support experience for financial institutions;
- Familiar with database technologies, Bamboo or Jenkins and BitBucket.
- Possess experience and proficiency in scripting, preferably in Python.
- Knowledgeable on Java, HTML and JavaScripting.
- Sound knowledge of banking products.
- Effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with customers using layman terms.
- Independent, proactive and demonstrate 'can-do' mentality.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results.
