Experience

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
- Design and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments on all stages of transmission line projects (design, construction, testing, and commissioning).
- Identify potential hazards and risks associated with the project and implement mitigation strategies.
- Continuously evaluate the safety risks on-site and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for all personnel involved in transmission line projects, including contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure that all employees are trained on safety procedures, emergency response, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all personnel are familiar with emergency evacuation plans.
- Regularly inspect construction sites, equipment, and tools to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Perform daily/weekly safety inspections to identify unsafe work practices and rectify issues.
- Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure that it is properly maintained and used.
- Lead investigations of any accidents, incidents, or near misses on-site, ensuring a root cause analysis is conducted.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements in reporting incidents to relevant authorities.
- Keep track of all safety documentation, permits, and safety-related reports for record-keeping and audit purposes.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, including coordination with local authorities and emergency services.
- Ensure the site is equipped with proper first aid facilities and that a trained first-aid team is available on-site.
- Ensure that all contractors and subcontractors comply with safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety orientations and inspections for external parties working on the transmission line projects.
