About the Role
As a Quality Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You'll develop and implement quality control processes, inspect and test materials and products, and work closely with the production team to resolve quality issues. This role also involves training staff, maintaining compliance documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional products to our customers and uphold our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enforce quality plans and procedures to meet compliance standards.
Inspect and test raw materials, components, and finished products for quality.
Perform visual and non-destructive testing during production stages.
Approve in-process and final products, ensuring they meet required specifications.
Document and update inspection results, maintain accurate records, and assist in audits.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
Train staff on health and safety procedures and quality standards.
Manage quality calibrations, internal audits, and project assignments.
About You
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with statistical techniques.
Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and understanding of manufacturing methods.
Knowledge of quality standards, inspection techniques, and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with chemicals and formulation safety standards is an advantage.
Experience in developing and maintaining ISO 9000 or similar systems preferred.

Location and Hours
Location: Mangere, Auckland
Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm).
Some weekend and overtime work may be required.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this role, you must have current entitlement to work in New Zealand. Pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing may be required.
