Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising machining processes to ensure on-time, in-full delivery to our customers. This role involves developing and implementing best practices, as well as ensuring that quality monitoring and control of products and processes meet 100% of specifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement quality plans and control methods for machining processes

  • Maintain and report quality inspection records

  • Ensure product quality through effective monitoring and control of machining operations

  • Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precise measurement

  • Analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Conduct internal QHSE audits and the first article (PPAP) submissions

  • Evaluate the quality of raw materials and machined components

  • Drive operational improvement projects and participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the machine shop

Must have:

  • 2-3 years experience in Quality Assurance, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment

  • Good knowledge of quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 9001)

  • Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques

  • Metrology skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ideal to have:

  • Experience in CNC machining, including creating and editing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (like SolidWorks or Mastercam)

  • Practical machining experience with a good understanding of manufacturing processes
