Peoplegrip is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Manager to work at a leading manufacturer of high-precision machinery specializing in PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) and PCBN (Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride) tooling solutions. Our client is at the forefront of the industry, driving excellence in mass production processes for various sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and cutting tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machinery manufacturing, with specific expertise in PCD and PCBN materials and mass production processes. This role requires frequent business trips to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and explore new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand market share in the PCD and PCBN tools sector.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and explore new business opportunities in both existing and new markets, focusing on industries that require mass production and high-precision tools.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, ensuring they meet their individual and team sales targets.
  • Business Development: Work closely with the business development team to identify and pursue new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Frequent Travel: Conduct regular business trips to meet with clients, attend industry events, and stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and provide insights to senior management to inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the machinery manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on PCD and PCBN tools.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of mass production processes and the specific needs of industries such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
