Technical Project Manager (m/w/d)_Frankfurt

 Job Description:

PEOPLEGRIP is looking for a talented Technical Project Manager to work at an international agency for live marketing communications with offices in Frankfurt am Main, Seoul, Dallas and London. Its Frankfurt office seeking a talent who can strengthen the production team to manage the live marketing and events. In this company you will lead the handling of construction and event technology projects in the areas of exhibitions, purchasing and events.

Key Responsibility

  • Design of structural area setups for events
  • Specification of the requirements for construction areas for the technical handling and production of events
  • Preparation and setup of all drawings and measurements prior to the event in accordance with the technical and construction layout
  • Management of the construction teams and event technicians
  • De-rigging (dismantling) the equipment and restoring it to its original state after the event
  • Collaborate with business customers, companies, suppliers and artists to identify requirements
  • Ordering, receiving and inspecting deliveries and collections of construction equipment within the scope of our company policy
  • Primary point of contact for maintenance and troubleshooting of materials and equipment
  • Ensuring the legal conformity of our installations and our technical equipment
  • Manage technical areas (sound, AV, rigging) as required
  • Use in the role of Project Manager in other specialist departments as required
  • Manage the approval and safety assessment processes

Qualifications

  • Technical background or sales background with a sound technical understanding
  • Relevant further education or university qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience
  • Experience in setting up complex exhibition constructions, event constructions and/or branding
  • Good understanding of different materials, material properties and construction methodology
  • Very good knowledge of electricity, electronics and other event technologies
  • Good knowledge of common presentation software e.g. Powerpoint and/or other relevant software
  • Very good PC knowledge and comfortable using Windows PCs
  • Keen awareness of current technology and strong willingness to learn
  • Willingness to travel for temporary projects abroad
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good international supplier network
  • Very good language skills in German and English

Additionally desirable nice-to-haves:

  • Knowledge of technical drawing (preferably Autocad)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Experience setting up and using live sound systems including microphones, mixing consoles and PA systems
  • Experience in rigging, working in technical grids and truss construction
  • International experience working on multiple projects
