PEOPLEGRIP is seeking skilled Accounting professionals to join the Finance team of a prominent South Korean food manufacturing conglomerate. This company, established in Germany after its acquisition in 2018, focuses on frozen food production. It plays a key role in the groups European operations, particularly in manufacturing and distributing products under a well-known brand celebrated for its Korean-inspired culinary offerings. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team contributing to the company's growth in European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Month-End and Year-End Closing:
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly and annual financial closing processes.
    • Prepare financial statements and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Analyze variances and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
  2. Business Travel and Expense Reconciliation:
    • Process and reconcile employee travel expenses and operational costs.
    • Verify and categorize receipts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    • Address discrepancies and liaise with team members for accurate reporting.
  3. Invoice Management:
    • Record and manage accounts payable and receivable invoices.
    • Verify accuracy of sales and purchase invoices and input them into the financial system.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date invoice records for audit and tracking purposes.
  4. Bookkeeping and Financial Record Maintenance:
    • Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions.
    • Support journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
    • Ensure all data complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  5. Tax Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare and submit VAT, income tax, and other relevant tax filings.
    • Monitor tax payment schedules and ensure timely compliance with local regulations.
    • Collaborate with external tax consultants and authorities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial operations or accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of HGB and IFRS standards.
  • Experience with expense management systems.
  • Familiarity with local tax and financial regulations.
