PEOPLEGRIP is seeking skilled Accounting professionals to join the Finance team of a prominent South Korean food manufacturing conglomerate. This company, established in Germany after its acquisition in 2018, focuses on frozen food production. It plays a key role in the groups European operations, particularly in manufacturing and distributing products under a well-known brand celebrated for its Korean-inspired culinary offerings. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team contributing to the company's growth in European markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Analyze variances and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Business Travel and Expense Reconciliation:
- Process and reconcile employee travel expenses and operational costs.
- Verify and categorize receipts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Address discrepancies and liaise with team members for accurate reporting.
- Invoice Management:
- Record and manage accounts payable and receivable invoices.
- Verify accuracy of sales and purchase invoices and input them into the financial system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date invoice records for audit and tracking purposes.
- Bookkeeping and Financial Record Maintenance:
- Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions.
- Support journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Ensure all data complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Tax Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and submit VAT, income tax, and other relevant tax filings.
- Monitor tax payment schedules and ensure timely compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with external tax consultants and authorities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial operations or accounting.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of HGB and IFRS standards.
- Experience with expense management systems.
- Familiarity with local tax and financial regulations.
