AU Junior Accountant

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations while helping build and improve internal accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to grow their expertise in an Australian business environment and develop broader accounting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic accounting tasks including invoicing, recording transactions, and processing payments
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Assist in payroll processing and related administrative tasks
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and workflows
• Support GST-related tasks and ensure accurate record-keeping for compliance purposes
• Maintain organised financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve basic finance-related queries

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Early-career professional (2–4 years experience) with a strong foundation in accounting principles
• Interest in Australian accounting practices (GST, payroll exposure is a plus but not required)
• CPA qualification (in progress or interest in pursuing) is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset
