Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised care and support to individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to individuals, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
  • Monitor individual progress and document changes in their condition, maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and team members.
  • Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and participate in community activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control measures.

Essential Criteria

  • Mandatory Training in care and support aligned to the UK Core Skills Training Framework - CSTF Mandatory Training.
  • Care Certificate (All 15 modules).
  • CPI Training (formerly MAPA)
  • The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
  • Relational security Training.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach towards providing care and support.
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure.

Desirable Criteria

  • Additional training or qualifications related to mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
