Finishing Manager (Furniture)

 Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To work diligently with the VCs and QCs in their respective assigned factories.
  2. Regularly update the daily report to superior for any immediate action.
  3. Conduct production meeting, if necessary, for production solution and share knowledge about finishing process improvement.
  4. Review and confirm All Step color panel at specific factory to meet intended company design.
  5. Review Pilot run product until finish. Provide support in solving any finishing issue. Consult vendors finishing management to avoid issues in Mass production.
  6. Follow Mass Production until finish and support in solving any finishing issue. Ensure take no more than 02 Review necessary for a launching of product.
  7. Color mixing and checking with standard proper tools for mixing ratio and formulation.
  8. Support vendors technician in completing Standard Finishing Copy for production use.
  9. Periodically review and reconfirm the step color panel for production reference, especially for all best seller products.
  10. Other tasks assigned by direct report when necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education

High School Graduate/Finishing Technical Course.

  1. Experience

More than 5 years experience in in furniture industries is preferential.

More than 2 years in creating color panel and developing new finishes.

  • Good communication in basic English and Vietnamese. Or good communication in Chinese and Vietnamese.
  • Remain proactive and interactive in achieving results through others.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Work independently, as well as, in team environment.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Effective multi-task management skills.
  • Willing to learn new tools (Spectro photometer machine) for color panel checking, master production standard and step color panel reference.

  • Occasional Sitting.
  • Use of hands to operate keyboard, phones, copy machines, and to prepare materials.
  • Frequently stands and walks/moves to different locations as needed.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.

  1. Working Conditions
  • Frequently walking on factory floor.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Conditions may also include working in areas with extended periods of loud noise from manufacturing processes, and finishing chemicals.
