Project Sales Engineer (pump/valve)

  • Business Development for new clients who are currently sourcing products from other pump companies, or have not yet had a need to purchase pumps to date
  • Client visits and responsible for sales territory and growing customer number in the territory to meet allocated sales budget set in conjunction with the Managing Director
  • Up to date notes and records in CRM system
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of products
  • Understand client requirements and assist the Internal Technical Sales Engineers to provide quotations
  • Negotiate the price in line with pricing strategy and confirm contract terms and conditions to meet both the client and company needs
  • Provide technical support as required for the wider team
  • Prepare reporting and deliver presentations as required for the Managing Director
  • Provide input and feedback on market requirements for management to make informed decisions to improve

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or similar, or proven practical experience in pumps or related industries
  • Strong integration and coordination between departments or personnel and ability to build genuine relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify customers challenges with alternative products and provide technical information along with a rational analysis in order to complete the sale
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and influence clients naturally during the sales cycle. Able to remain in a positive and resilient frame of mind despite challenges faced associated with sales process
  • Natural ability to work autonomously and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues.
