QC Officer (furniture, sourcing office)

1. Enforce and ensure the organisations quality standards and protocols.
- Ensure that all products are manufactured in line with specified standards for quality, and that these are following the customer specific safety and material requirements specified in the technical documents, approved sample and swatches.
- Conduct internal tests like drop test, stability test, impact test, UKFR burnt test, rubbing test for colourfastness, etc. on products/packaging that are confirmed to live up to a specified standard, whenever specified.
- Perform all duties consistently in accordance to the guidelines and work ethics of this company.
2. Inspection of products and preparing reports
- In accordance with SBNs standards, produce and maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection reports of all POs delivered to the customers timely.
- Inspect the products based on the agreed quality requirements during product development and pre-production stage.
- Strictly adhering to all the checkpoints on the QC checklist when performing inspections, making sure that AQL inspection samples are always taken in a random manner.
- Always equipped with the required QC measuring instruments and tools for inspections.
- QC to review the defects found during inspection with the key personnel from the factory.
- Report abnormal situations happened at the factory or any non-conforming products to the respective Quality personnel.
- Ensure that all technical documents, approved samples and swatches are available during final inspection.
- Maintain a set of SBN approved samples and swatches and ensure that these are kept safely.
3. Managing products claim and development ideas
- Working together with the QA and Quality Manager to reduce the claim rate.
- Proactively identify potential areas for improvement at the factory and report back to the QA Engineer.
- Routinely engage suppliers in discussions of the findings during the inspections after the inspection is complete.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of product quality inspection experience (Furniture/Building)
- Have good experience in factory and process audit
- At least Diploma education specialise in Quality Management, Engineering or equivalent.
