THE COMPANY

My client is a Hong Kong based Company, one of the market leaders in garment sourcing.

The Roles - based in Vietnam/ Cambodia. Overseas production bases in South East Asia (Indonesia and Cambodia), South Asia (Bangladesh) and Africa (Egypt).

  • Manage, lead and develop a team to meet the current and future needs of the business. Develop strong relationships with both HQ Business Teams, the suppliers and the country leads.
  • Enhance supplier performance along with country heads and align with HQ Management to lead technical and quality teams.
  • Lead and guide the development and execution of technical instructions, quality programs, manages and implements QA/QC procedures according to the company and market requirements.
  • Provide technical solutions related to pattern making, grading and sewing at sampling stage.
  • Ensure all products achieve the highest quality standards including processes to monitor quality and performance.

The Needs

  • Degree qualified or above in textiles, clothing engineering or technologies.
  • Must be from an apparel background, ideally with experience in denim items.
  • Must have minimum 20 years' working in development, sample approval, production and quality control with at least 5 years in managerial level.
  • Ability of multi-task and proactively trouble shooting and problem solving, meet deadlines, calm under pressure approach.
  • A team player, who can get the best out of your team, coach, develop, encourage getting the best results
  • Proven and sound knowledge of product safety, quality management and manufacturing control processes.
  • Experience in both EU and US market.

The Responsibilities

  • Provide risk assessment and identify difficulties from samples and provide constructive suggestions on garment production engineering.
  • Provide technical supports and suggestions to help facilitate solutions for sample production issues between all stakeholders with development team and suppliers.
  • Leverage technical skill sets internally and take ownership of related projects/trainings.
  • Responsible to identify and resolve all quality issues during the sampling and production processes.
  • Research and introduce any new related quality requirements/tools/ technologies as needed to support the buyer, the company and the suppliers.
  • Regular vendor on-site visits for all production quality control, factory ethical program development and factory performance.
  • Resolve customer complaints and drive continuous improvement in quality.
  • Report the management on overall quality performance analysis and propose future strategies.

The Professional Qualification and Accreditations

  • Strong in computer and MS Office Tools is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - fluency in English, Chinese is an asset.
  • Computer aided and digitalization in design and fitting program.
  • Knowledge in paper pattern, garment construction, grading, mechanical and sewing operation techniques.
  • Product re-engineering.
  • Sound and proven management certification is definite advantage.
