Key Roles and Responsibilities

Key focus on driving end-to-end deal processes, including origination and evaluation of potential transactions, leading the development of business cases, doing market and competitive analysis, building of financial models, formulating proposals of deal structures as well as managing the post-transaction integration under the leadership of senior members of the deal team. The position is based in Vietnam, with full integration into the regional deal making effort, but involves international collaboration with the deal teams in other locations as well as the wide network of Senior Advisors around the world.

The role is an excellent training ground for developing PE/VC type management skills. A career path would involve promotion to a partner role on the team. The Principal will become part of a selected group of deal teams for specific transactions and within those deal teams, report to an investment partner.

Person and Qualification

Given the current composition in Southeast Asia and internationally, we have a preference for the following characteristics:

1. Masters degree in business or healthcare administration, finance, medicine (M.D.) or other programs associated with the field of healthcare

2. Minimum of 3 years of investment or related experience (investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A), with healthcare investment experience being a plus

3. Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated

4. Able to develop constructive arguments and conceptualize and produce concise, well-designed slide decks in a timely manner

5. Strong financial modelling skills

6. Good interpersonal and time management skills

7. Proficient oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of a language(s) in Southeast Asia would be an advantage

8. Familiarity with South East Asian healthcare markets and prior exposure to a growth stage PE firm would be highly valued

9. Female preferable. 

Detailed Description of the Position and its Responsibilities

1. Deal-making: general support, including originating deals, leading due diligence efforts, financial modelling, deal making responsibility under the mentorship of a partner; market and other research in the SEA region;

2. Financial planning and analysis in relation to the Company or a group company and on projects that it may undertake;

3. Supporting the finance functions of the Company or a group company in budgeting and other financial planning exercises including but not limited to feasibility studies;

4. Lodging and liaising new deals and investment opportunities and supporting in the assessment, analysis and administration of said opportunities;

5. Preparing presentation, financial models and other documents as may be required from time to time for the Company or a group company and its projects;

6. Project management of assigned projects or work streams related to the Company or a group company; and

7. Supporting on due diligence, valuation and other activities that may be entailed in relation to the planned regional and local expansion of the Company or a group company, including acquisition of identified targets.

8. Support in fundraising objectives and deliverables, including the preparation of fund marketing materials and coordination of meetings

9. Manage investment associates and their work and contributions, as assigned from time to time
