Senior Account Executive

 Job Description:

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for the supervision of account work performed by junior staff. S/he will demonstrate the ability to manage up, as well as manage across with peers and mentor account team members.

Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrates tactical and strategic knowledge of integrated Communications Marketing principles and skills
  • Contributes to creation of Communications Marketing plans to meet client objectives
  • Contributes to client correspondence (e.g., daily updates, activity reports, etc.)
  • Plays key role in developing key messages in keeping with clients objectives
  • Demonstrates the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external, channel-appropriate communications content
  • Demonstrates the ability and experiences working with publishers or build up media relationship is a plus.
  • Demonstrates research abilities to support client programs and understands research techniques to assist with various company consulting processes, including analysis of media coverage and online conversation (volume and tone) and identification and categorization of various stakeholders, including organizations and individuals to be engaged by clients
  • Coordinates and helps plan media outreach programs including tours, events, conferences, interviews and new media outreach
  • Communicates effectively with team members
  • Assists in recruiting, interviewing and selection of junior staff

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing
  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
  • Intricate level of understanding of the account(s), the clients businesses, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, opposition, etc.
  • Understand basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals
  • Good research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships
  • Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies
