Technical Sales Manager

 Job Description:

Position: Technical Sales Manager; Thailand

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the identification and quantification of available market opportunity and sales target setting based on customer analysis and the forecast of market trends.
  • Provide regular sales pipeline status, quantify the opportunities, update weekly achievements, highlight issues, risks and suggest actions needed to meet sales target and profitability.
  • Provide valuable business intelligence and analysis to quantify and prioritize opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates of business information on customers, competitors and industries.
  • Operate as the first level customer contact point and solicit discussions with customers for new opportunities.
  • Partner and consult with customer at a technical level to understand and document the customer requirements and specifications to sketch out an initial problem statement and Scope of Work.
  • Work closely with development/applications engineering to develop automation concepts that will address customers manufacturing challenges and achieve company profitability targets.
  • Work with company internal teams to develop cost model and provide timely responses to Request- For-Quotations/ Proposals.
  • Add and pre-qualify new business contacts through following up with personal and professional networks, with existing or prospective clients, and through cold-calling. Maintain target list of potential customers updated on a regular basis.
  • Establish and maintain good professional business relationship with customers and ensure frequent and clear communications between company internal teams and our customers to achieve On-Time -Delivery and excellent project execution to fulfill our commitments to customers.
  • Conduct sales presentation and plant tour.
  • Follow up with customers on service and quality feedback.
  • Comply with Company business process and Quality Management System.

Requirement:

  • A Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Business Management, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Equipment Automation Systems or Components sales application working experience. Experiences in solutions sales approach to capital equipment/automation machinery projects.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience of direct sales experience in industrial automation products or related products. Relevant experience in :
  • Industrial machine control systems
  • Industrial robots
  • Capital equipment or automation system
    • Some working experiences in Hard disk drive industry will be preferred.
    • Good business acumen that is sensitive to different dynamics of decision makers through complex sales process.
