Supply Chain Manager

 Job Description:

Job Summary 

  1. Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the supply chain management function as well as the planning and directing of activities and operations of the business. 
  2. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations. 
  3. Manage current and long-term forecast projections to drive production and inventory planning goals.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain. 
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain. 
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory. 
  • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production. 
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes. 
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution. 
  • Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials. 
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. 
  • Synchronized execution of new products and launches Reduction of no value-added complexity and streamline operations Able to set KPI targets and drive performance 
  • Ensure inventory levels have direct correlation to cost of sales budgets in each country and work closely with in country planners to ensure any planned A&P and sales initiatives are planned. 
  • Maintain a rolling 18-month planning horizon and limit the need to request additional unplanned inventory. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Job requirement

  1. Possess at least a Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics Management or any related field.
  2. Minimum 8-10 years working experience in Logistic / Supply Chain or any other related field.
  3. Entrepreneur & Forward-thinking mindset towards Process Improvement (via digitalization / transformation approach)
  4. Organized & Ability to work under fast-paced environment
  5. Team Player (Co-ordinate & liaise with Internal & External Stakeholders) with strong capability to be hands-on
  6. Independent (work with minimal supervision) with a focus on results
