QA Engineer

About the Company and Role

We are searching for a QA Engineer to join a product-focused fintech company developing a trading app and digital banking platform in Kazakhstan. The product was successfully launched in 2024, and the team currently consists of 10 people, including one Lead QA.

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan.

We are offering:

• Salary: up to KZT 500,000 net;
• Office in Almaty, Kazakhstan;
• Flat structure, small and agile development team;

Interview Process:

• HR Screening (30-40 minutes);
• Technical Interview with the CTO (1-1,5 hours);

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:

• 1+ years of commercial experience in fintech (mobile app testing is a big plus);
• Strong knowledge of testing theory and methodologies;
• Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks;
• Familiarity with test documentation types and the ability to create them;
• Understanding of client-server architecture;
• Experience with API testing tools;
• Basic knowledge of databases and proficiency in SQL queries;
• Based in Almaty and willing to work from the office;
• Test automation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, bug reports, checklists);
• Planning and executing various types of testing;
• Identifying and documenting defects in the accounting system;
• Processing and handling user-reported issues.
