Job Title: Blasting/Painting Foreman
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Blasting/Painting Foreman to oversee and coordinate all blasting and painting activities in an offshore work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all blasting and painting activities to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices for offshore operations.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring proper use of equipment and materials.
Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure proper surface preparation, coating application, and finishing.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Train and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or operational challenges that arise.
Requirements:
OND or equivalent qualification in a technical subject.
Level 1 Certification in ICAT or an equivalent certification.
A minimum of 15 years of experience as a Blasting and Painting Foreman/Supervisor in an offshore work environment.
Strong understanding of blasting and painting techniques, equipment, and materials.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of safety standards, including offshore health and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a physically demanding offshore environment.
