Job Title: Business Promotion Manager

Location: Ivory Coast

Summary Profile:

The main purpose of this role is to identify and support the development of trading business

and investment project opportunities and lead team members under the supervision of GM.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify new business needs, seeds, and domains by conducting research and analysis, establish the business hypothesis, structure the business model, and propose them to create the consensus and approval for development.

Develop new business, trading and investment, in West Africa (focusing on IVC, Senegal and other Francophone countries) in a way that Mitsui can leverage its capabilities as a Japanese trading and investment house.

Lead team members with various nationalities and expertise, such as staff hired by Mitsui

Head Quarter in Tokyo, Japan (SHJ), regional hired staff (RHS), external advisors, and the

employees of Mitsuis affiliate companies.

Prepare necessary documents such as proposals, client discussion papers, etc.

Create and/or enhance relationships with the management level of local companies and

governmental organizations in line with the departments direction in supporting GM.

Negotiate project documents with concerned parties.

Report the market situation in a timely manner.

Collect and analyze market information and propose necessary actions.

Support various office management under the instruction of GM and propose office working environment improvement as a head of RHS.

Relationships:

Team member of Business Development Dept. and Corporate Strategy & Administration Dept.Tokyo HQ staff

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills / Knowledge:

* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English and French.

* Good team working skills whilst having the ability to work independently.

* Knowledge of trade transactions, credit management, logistics and basic legal affairs.

* Financial / Quantitative Analysis: Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and

qualitative analysis and financial models.

* Intellectual curiosity to take up new growth sectors even that is not directly the one you are familiar with.

* Regular and proper reporting skills

* Advanced literacy in Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint.

* Negotiation skills, problem-solving skills, conflict management

* High level of integrity & confidentiality

Experience:

* Bachelors degree in economics, finance, business, computer science, engineering, o

* Around 7 to 10 years of work experience in a reputable international company will be preferred.

* Broad business development experience in trading. Experience of investment project is

desirable.

* Experience in working for multinational or international companies and work experience in

outside countries are desirable.

* Work experience in or with Japanese company is desirable.

* Work experience in a consulting firm is desirable.
