This role of Quality Controller will report to the Quality Manager.
In this role you will work as part of the quality team to ensure that product is produced in accordance with the end product description and ensure the product is of high quality, which is both save and legal.
Main area of responsibility
- Ensuring that all quality control records are maintained in an up to date and organised manor.
- Ensuring that all non-conformance records are maintained completed and communicated.
- Maintaining calibration records to agreed calibration schedule for all equipment.
- Inform QA manager and/or production manager of all non-conformances.
- Laboratory analysis, records, documentation control.
- Dealing with and documenting customer complaints in the absence of the QA manager, as and when they arise.
- You will be required to be flexible in this position and must be prepared to transfer to other duties within the business unit.
- Adhere to all company rules and policies.
- Help train new staff at same level and participate in any training activities as required of you by the company.
- Support the QA manager and production team on quality issues.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a similar role in the food industry, ideally meat processing sector. You will be experienced in working within a BRC / ISO certified organisation. A quality / technical qualification would be advantageous.
