About the job PMO Manager
The PMO Manager acts as the primary driver of accountability and execution for the Group CEO of a leading hospital chain in Egypt. This is a high-visibility, results-oriented role that blends professional project governance with the dedicated support of a Chief of Staff.
The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the CEOs strategic directives and daily tasks are moved from "delegated" to "completed." By serving as a professional enforcer across the hospital network, the PMO Manager allows the CEO to focus on high-level vision while ensuring no operational detail is overlooked.
Key Responsibilities
1. Directive Management & "To-Do" Ownership
- Task Monetization: Capture every action item, promise, and directive issued by the CEO in meetings, site visits, or briefings.
- Rigorous Follow-up: Maintain a relentless follow-up schedule with Hospital Directors and Department Heads to ensure CEO-mandated tasks are progressing according to timeline.
- Status Enforcement: Act as the "checks and balances" for the CEO, verifying that reported progress on projects (e.g., facility upgrades, new service launches) matches reality on the ground.
2. Strategic Liaison & Representation
- CEO Envoy: Attend departmental meetings or hospital site visits on behalf of the CEO to monitor operational performance and report back on critical bottlenecks.
- Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve cross-functional delays between departments (e.g., Procurement, HR, and Medical Ops) that hinder the CEOs primary objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Professionalize the flow of information to the CEO, ensuring he is only briefed on "solution-ready" updates while tactical issues are handled independently.
3. Reporting & Operational Oversight
- Daily Briefings: Prepare a concise daily report for the CEO detailing completed actions, pending risks, and immediate "red-flag" items from across the group.
- Execution Dashboards: Maintain a high-level tracking system (PMO Dashboard) of all ongoing CEO-driven initiatives, providing instant visibility into the status of the hospital chains priorities.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
- Proven Track Record: 7+ years in Project Management, Business Operations, or as a Senior Executive Assistant to a high-profile C-Suite leader.
- Healthcare exposure: Experience within a hospital or large-scale medical group is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
- Professional Fluency: Exceptional command of the English language (written and verbal) is required; Arabic is not a prerequisite for this role.
- Process Mastery: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Monday.com) to track hundreds of moving parts simultaneously.
Competencies
- Assertiveness: The ability to professionally "push" senior hospital management to deliver on tasks without needing the CEO to intervene.
- Meticulous Organization: A natural ability to manage complex "to-do" lists with zero margin for error.
- Discretion: High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle confidential strategic information.
- Flexibility: Resilience to handle the fast-paced, often unpredictable schedule of a hospital group CEO, including travel to various sites across Egypt.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Task Velocity: Average time taken to close out CEO directives.
- Execution Accuracy: % of projects delivered in 100% alignment with the CEOs original brief.
- Operational Transparency: The consistency and clarity of the daily status reporting provided to the CEO Office.
