As a Taxation Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department's tax-related functions within the group. This position involves managing tax compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning while ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company's tax practices are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Support in developing tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax liabilities and enhance financial efficiency.
  • Conduct research on tax issues, providing insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to incorporate tax implications into financial reports and forecasts.
  • Conduct analysis on the impact of taxation on financial statements and business operations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records related to tax filings and compliance activities.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for tax audits and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and external consultants, to address tax-related matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on tax-related inquiries or initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing tax strategies to maximize tax benefits and mitigate tax risks.
  • Support in ensuring tax-efficient structuring of transactions and operations.
  • Uphold compliance with ISO and companys code of conduct.
  • Assist on Tax matters (VAT and Corporate Tax) of group companies and associate companies in UAE and GCC.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant (CA/CFA) with a certification course in VAT/ Corporate Tax applicable in UAE or having experience in VAT/Corporate Tax.
  • Minimum 6-7 years of proven experience in taxation, preferably within a corporate environment or public accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in the UAE.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams, customers, Vendors, key stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Result-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with International Organization of Standardization (ISO) standards, the companys code of conduct, and the Departments Standard operating procedures.
