Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry to lead the companys financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial planning, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and strategic decision-making, along with a deep understanding of the pharma business model, including R&D investment, regulatory frameworks, and supply chain complexities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive the financial strategy of the organization in alignment with long-term business goals, focusing on growth, profitability, and sustainability.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario planning to support operational and investment decisions.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with pharma-specific regulations (e.g., FDA, EMA), tax laws, and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
• Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions, including reporting and fundraising activities (IPOs, private equity, venture capital).
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring sound internal controls and business continuity practices.
• Cash Flow & Capital Management: Optimize working capital, monitor cash flow, and manage funding strategies for R&D, production, and expansion projects.
• Regulatory & Cost Controls: Implement pricing strategies, cost accounting for drug production, and ROI analysis for clinical trials and drug development.
• M&A & Strategic Partnerships: Lead due diligence, valuations, and integration for acquisitions or alliances, particularly those involving biotech or research entities.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team and collaborate with cross-functional departments including R&D, legal, supply chain, and commercial teams.

Requirements:

• CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent qualification; MBA in Finance or relevant field is a strong plus.
• 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.
• In-depth knowledge of pharma finance structures, including R&D funding, licensing, and regulatory costs.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proven track record in capital raising, investor relations, and managing financial operations in a regulated industry.
