About the job Manager - Business Development
The Manager – Business Development will be responsible for identifying and driving strategic growth opportunities with a strong focus on international franchise and brand development. The role involves sourcing, evaluating, and securing high-potential global retail brands and transitioning them into successful operations across the Middle East.
Key sectors include Fashion & Accessories, Furniture & Interiors, Food & Beverage, Sports, and Health & Beauty.
Key Responsibilities

Lead brand acquisition initiatives in alignment with the groups long-term growth strategy.

Identify, evaluate, and secure high-potential international retail brands for expansion across the UAE and GCC.

Develop and execute business development plans to launch and scale global brands across multiple retail segments.

Build and maintain strong relationships with global brand principals and partners.

Negotiate franchise agreements and oversee commercial deal closures.

Conduct detailed market and industry research to track global retail trends and emerging brand opportunities.

Evaluate business opportunities through market analysis, commercial feasibility, and financial assessment.

Recommend strategic brand partnerships aligned with the organizations vision and portfolio objectives.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth brand onboarding and operational readiness.

Stay current on franchise models, regional retail performance, and competitive market dynamics.

Represent the organization at industry events and maintain a strong professional network.

Lead strategic initiatives and special projects that contribute to business growth and portfolio expansion.
Desired Experience & Qualifications

6–8 years of progressive experience in business development, international brand acquisition, or franchise development within the retail industry.

Proven track record in identifying and securing global brand partnerships across multiple retail categories.

Strong experience in commercial negotiations, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field preferred.
